Meghan Markle Details Moving Moment She Had With Her and Prince Harry’s Daughter Lilibet

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a sweet moment with her daughter, Princess Lilibet, while they were on their first trip overseas after stepping down from their royal roles.

Motherhood has a darker side, as Meghan Markle is discovering.

While the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry were on their three-day trip to Nigeria starting May 10, she shared a cute chat she had with their 2-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, while they were visiting students at the Lightway Academy.

Meghan told a kindergarten class, “Our daughter, Lili, is way smaller than all of you,” as reported by People. She’s about to turn three years old. A couple of weeks ago, when she looked at me, all she could see was the reflection of my eyes. Then she said, “Mama, I can see myself in you.”

Since she was being so straightforward, the 42-year-old admitted it. However, I understood those words in a totally different way. “I can see myself in you, and you can see yourself in me,” I reflected in my mind.

She spoke to the pupils, “As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well,” while seated next to Harry in the classroom.

The couple, who are the parents of five-year-old Prince Archie, took part in singing and dance lessons with the kids and played games during their visit. Meghan mentioned, “That’s Lili’s favorite class,” as reported by the publication. “Maybe it’s because of all the jumping around.”

Even though Meghan and Harry prefer to keep their private life away from the spotlight, they often share little glimpses of their family of four.

In February, the Duke of Sussex said on Good Morning America, “The kids are doing great.” The children are maturing like all children do—quite quickly.

The 39-year-old said, “They both have a great sense of humor that makes us laugh and helps us stay down to earth every day, just like kids usually do.” “I’m really thankful to be a dad.”
