Taylor Swift’s Miami fans were thrilled to attend the final leg of her tour but noticed her fiddling with something behind her dress while on stage. Fortunately, the star received help from her dancers with the issue, leading fans to speculate on what had happened.

During her recent Eras Tour in Miami, Taylor Swift experienced a malfunction while performing. The incident, which some claimed to be a dress malfunction, was captured by several fans. But, some fans believe it was a glitch with her microphone and in-ear transmitter.

Swift’s fans quickly took to TikTok and Instagram, uploading clips of the pop star in action on stage during her Eras Tour. The footage shows Swift singing one of her songs while holding her microphone with one hand and reaching behind her back with the other.

The star appeared to be adjusting something at the back of her dress. After realizing she couldn’t fix it herself, Swift approached her backup singers and asked for their help. Once they helped her, she said “Thanks guys,” continued singing, and ran back to engage with her fans.

Someone who claimed to be present when the incident occurred wrote, “this was crazy seeint this live (sic).” Believing it was a dress malfunction, one viewer commented, “It really was unbuttoned,” while another person who saw no issue remarked, “It looked fine to me🫣.”

Referencing the words Swift sang after the malfunction was resolved, a TikTok user commented, “‘Running with my dress unbuttoned’ omgg.” Another fan confessed, “I thought that her dress wasn’t done up all the way and she could feel the zipper going down or something at first lmao.”

Speculating about the cause, someone shared, “At the beginning her dress was fine. I think her in ear monitor came unplugged and she couldn’t her the music, so then they unzipped her dress and plugged it back in [sic].”

The dress Swift wore for her performance was a refreshed version of a previous look. She previously wore a Versace bodysuit and jacket during the “Lover” segment of her show, but now it has been replaced by a flowing dress from her “Folklore” and “Evermore” era.

For her “Tortured Poets Department” segment, the artist wore a custom-made Vivienne Westwood gown, which was involved in the stage malfunction. The sleeveless designer dress is adorned with lyrics from her album.

The gown is white with a structured bodice and flowing skirt. Lyrics from the lead single, “Fortnight,” are written in black script across the skirt, including the words, “I love you, it’s ruining my life.” A press release noted that the dress was created from recycled taffeta.

The gown is worn over a black bodysuit, with its cups visible above the dress’ bodice. Her ensemble is completed with white Christian Louboutin boots and a black choker, like the one she wore at the Grammy Awards.

The dancers who assisted her matched her outfit, wearing white pants and tank tops. Later in the performance, Swift removed the dress on stage, transitioning to a look that highlighted her bodysuit as she sang “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

The singer began the final leg of her tour on October 18, 2024, in Miami Gardens at Hard Rock Stadium. During her “Reputation” set, she debuted another new outfit, this time a bodysuit designed by Roberto Cavalli.

The bodysuit features intertwined snakes and a one-legged and one-hand design, with gold detailing replacing the red accents from a previous version. Despite the captivating outfit and performance, fans noticed something else.

They speculated that Swift might be pregnant, especially considering her relationship with Travis Kelce. One photo showed the singer bending over during a dance routine, and the angle made her stomach appear more pronounced.

One fan wrote, “I think it just means she’s needing [sic] more suits made, because she’s gained little happy weight since dating Trav!” Another person speculated, “Baby in oven [sic].” Many echoed similar sentiments, with one netizen writing, “It’s giving a baby on the way lol [sic].”
