One night, a Marine drove into a small town, but he quickly discovered that all the hotel rooms were full.
When he finally got to the last hotel, he pleaded to the manager,
“You’ve got to have a room somewhere, or just a bed, I don’t care where.”
The manager said, “I actually have a double room available with just one person in it, a guy from the Navy. He might be happy to share the cost.”
Honestly, he snores really loudly, and people in the rooms next door have complained before. I’m not sure if it would be a good idea for you.
“No problem,” the tired Marine assured him, “I’ll take it.”
The following morning, the Marine woke up and came to breakfast looking cheerful and full of energy.
“How did you sleep?” asked the manager. “Never better.”
The manager was impressed “No problem with the other guy snoring, then?”
“Nope, I shut him up in no time,” said the Marine.
“How’d you manage that?” asked the manager.
The Marine said, “When I walked into the room, he was already in bed, fast asleep and snoring.”
I walked over, kissed him on the cheek, and said, “Goodnight, beautiful.” After that, he stayed up all night just watching me.
