Billionaire Mike Lynch’s 18-year-old daughter has mysteriously vanished after a superyacht sank off the coast of Sicily, leaving many wondering about her fate.
The Italian coastguard is proceeding with the search for Hannah Lynch, the last tourist unaccounted for after the sinking of the Bayesian on August 19, 2024.
Simon Boxall, a senior lecturer in oceanography at the University of Southampton, shared that it is “probable” Hannah will be found inside the Bayesian.
While divers continue their search for the missing teenager, Simon noted that although there are theories suggesting her body might be outside the yacht, this scenario is unlikely.

“It’s probable she is somewhere in the boat. Sadly, I think this is a recovery rather than a rescue mission,” shared Simon.
Simon also mentioned that although there’s a slim possibility that Hannah Lynch was thrown from the yacht and is in the water, the extensive search efforts make this unlikely.

Simon reiterated, “The most likely thing is that she will be found eventually within the boat as they work their way through.” Hannah’s schoolmates are part of the concerned people who have been left in shock and are anxiously awaiting updates.

The disappearance of Hannah, who was set to attend Oxford, alongside her tech tycoon father Mike Lynch, has left her peers desperate for any news as search efforts continue.
The uncertainty surrounding her whereabouts has only intensified the concern among those who knew her, as they hold on to hope for her safe recovery.
